We are a body of believers in Jesus Christ, who believe our statement of faith is spoken more by how we live than by how we say we live, and are in service to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are committed to the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Recognizing Him as our Head and we as His body on earth, not in a singular sense are we His body, but in a particular sense. Knowing that we are but members of a mountain of believers that are intended by God to become a great mountain and fill the earth being in Christ (Daniel 2:34-35).
Knowing Christ is the corner stone of the foundation of faith upon which faith Christ builds His church. Through the proclamation of faith as Peter proclaimed“THOU ART THE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD” (Matthew 16:16). We likewise all, thorough faith in His name are lively stones, a spiritual house which is built up to God (1 Peter 2:5).
Our belief is in Christ’s teaching and as God intended – as we walk in Christ so our belief becomes our testimony (Revelation 12:11). By the operation of Christ’s cross, leading us, by God, unto that place where we love not our own lives but patiently wait for that everlasting life with Christ. Believing also God has given us, all who believe, the Holy Spirit of promise which is the earnest (deep conviction) of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory (Ephesians 1:13-14).
We are not our own, but are bought with an exceedingly great price, the laying down of the life of Christ, Emanuel (God with us) (Matthew 1:23) and are indeed purchased by the shedding of His blood and are now indeed Christ’s.
Our desire is not to be separated from the body of Christ in this country and around the world, but rather to be separate from the world as Christ even prayed for us all (John chapter 17).
The authority of our conviction comes from God as it is written in the Word of God, the Bible. Our understanding of the Word of God is given to us through the reading of the Word, with prayers and fasting for our hearing and by putting into practice the truths that God gives us by the Holy Spirit (John 16:13-14).
We call ourselves the Body of Christ, not to establish a name for us in the earth, having the witness of scripture in the Testimony of God of a time when men, being the generations of those saved from the flood, who through their own vanity sought to make themselves a name for them in the earth, and that by so doing brought the dis-pleasures and reproofs of the Holy God upon themselves, by the confusion of their languages and their scatterings abroad upon the face of the whole earth, and receiving for themselves as their just reward divisions and strife among men, unto them and unto all their posterity of which posterity are we all. It was with this somber reality in mind and with a sincere reverence of God righteous judgments in our hearts, that the governing body of elders, were prayerful lead to the immutable councils of the word of God. “NOW YE ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST, AND MEMBERS IN PARTICULAR” (1 Corinthians 12:27).
We therefore in humble submission unto the Eternal Word of the Eternal God, declare this ministry as an extension of that first ministry, as they were in the world, so are we in the world (1 John 4:17) with scripture as our guide and the faith of Christ as our hope, with our brothers of old, proclaim this church to be the Body of Christ Ministries (with the plural showing that we are members in particular – 1 Corinthians 12:27).
It is in meekness and in humble submission unto God, while do we considering our own weaknesses, that we recognize this truth to be given by scripture, not as a name for ourselves in the earth but it is rather given as a testimony to the defining nature of who we are in Christ, as a timeless and continuing congregation of believers, captivated by the lively hope of eternity with Christ (1 Peter 1:2-9).
